Financial aid and admission quota opportunities at IOE

Female Quota

10% seats in regular and full-fee programs are reserved for female applicants. If 10% female applicants are not selected in the published admission-list, the names of 10% female applicants will be published in the admission-list based on the order of merit from among the female applicants who meet the minimum qualification.

Teacher/Staff Quota

For the self-development of permanent teachers of IOE who have completed their probationary period and staff, a total of two (2) seats have been reserved in the constituent campuses of Institute of Engineering for B.E. / B.Arch.

If there is no application from any teacher/staff, sons/daughters of teachers and employees (who have passed the probationary period for appointment) will be admitted in the order of merit.

A total of two (2) seat scholarships (regular) have been arranged at the graduate level for the permanent teachers/employees and children of teachers/employees working under the Institute of Engineering Studies.

Applicants for this seat will be admitted in order of merit.

Inclusive Indigent Reservation Quota

As specified in 11(a) and 11(b) of Tribhuvan University Organization and Educational Administration Rules 2050, twenty percent of the total seats on the regular side have been reserved for people from the following communities.

Important Requirements

Government and Government-affiliated Institutions Quota

Employees working in government offices and government-owned institutions should be sponsored by the relevant organization. Seats about 1/12th of the number of admissions have been reserved in the Sponsored Fee programs.

Type 1: Regular Government Employees

Applicants must submit departmental approval letter and sponsoring letter for 4-year full-fee program (5 years for Architecture). Sponsoring organization must be at district level.

Type 2: Marginalized Communities

For Dalits, indigenous peoples, and economically neglected communities. Must have studied in government/community schools. Submit Class VIII, SLC/SEE certificates and proof of government/community school status from District Education Office.

Class 11-12 Requirements

Must have studied in community/private campus of TU or received government scholarship. Submit mark sheets and certificates.

Admission Process

Must pass IOE entrance exam. Admission based on competition among sponsored applicants. If quota not filled, seats go to full-fee applicants in order of merit.

Payment

Payment accepted only through check of sponsoring institution.

Foreign Citizens Quota

Under the Institute of Engineering, 1/12th of the total seats in Full Fee programs at constituent campuses are reserved for foreign citizens.

Important Notes

All documents must be submitted within 3 days of the publication of entrance exam results.

False information will result in application cancellation following legal procedures.

Students eligible for reservation quotas will be charged the full fee applicable to regular students.

All necessary documents must be submitted within the deadline for the first enrollment program (first, second, and third enrollment lists).

Applicants must have passed the entrance examination conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board.
